Engineered for added strength at lower weight, the 6-foot commercial plastic parking block can be carried and installed by a single person. LEED qualified and made from injection-molded, 100 percent recycled HDPE plastic, this parking stop resists tire scuffing and natural elements. The color is molded throughout – there's no upkeep required. Great for shopping mall parking lots, apartment and condo complexes, and commercial grounds.

- Our 6' Commercial Parking Blocks weigh 16 lbs. each, meaning one person can carry the block, put it where you want to install it, and install it yourself with no specialized equipment (a hammer drill does make it go faster). With concrete blocks, the company you buy them from has to deliver them on their truck. They will also need to bring out a piece of machinery to unload the blocks and put them into position for installation. All of this costs money which can make purchasing smaller number of blocks unaffordable. Lastly, when those concrete blocks break from exposure to the elements, you will need that same piece of machinery to get them out of your parking lot.

- Over time, all concrete installed horizontally (meaning water does not run off) absorbs some water and cracks when the water freezes and thaws. Recycled plastic parking blocks do not absorb water so freezing and thawing is not an issue.

This 6-foot long high-quality plastic parking block is light weight, durable, and made from high-quality recycled plastic using an injection mold process. Installation is easy, in fact, it can be handled and installed by one person with ease-- no need to ask for help. Because Commercial Parking Blocks are made of recycled plastic they are also LEED qualified by the United States Green Building Council.

Engineered For Performance & Reliability
The Traffic Safety Store sells Portable Plastic Blocks made using 100% recycled plastics that are a combination of post-industrial and post consumer.
If you're looking for something with a thinner base and height, then the Standard model would probably meet your criteria. We also have the small variation often used in mall parking lots because of its short profile. It's perfect for areas where lower vehicles are usually present, as it could lessen the chances of impacts with bumpers, as well as with license plates. The tires would be able to roll up to the block.
Plastic Commercial Parking Block Installation Methods
Lag Method
There are several ways on how you can install this parking block, and one of which is the lag method.What You'll Need:
- (1) 1/2” x 8” lag bolt to be placed in each hole
- (2) 1/2” washers for each bolt
- (1) 1/2” lag shield anchor for each bolt
- Hammer
- High speed hammer drill with 3/4” masonry bit
- Impact wrench
A lag shield anchor should be inserted in each hole, where a large anchor should be used on the opening top. Using a hammer, tap the anchor into the hole so that it would flush into the surface. The washer should be placed over each anchor hole after.
Once completed, reposition the parking block in the area where it's going to be installed. Slip a washer onto the bold, then insert the bolt through a pre-drilled hole. It should be around three quarters of the way, and maintain a 3/4” socket. This should be repeated on the remaining holes, and don't forget to tighten each bolt until it's snug.
Steel Spike Method
Another method you can try is the steel spike method.What You'll Need:
- (1) 1/2” x 12” plated steel spike to be used on each hole of the parking block
- Sledge hammer
- Hammer drill with 3/8” masonry bit
Remove the block, and drill a hole at each marked location using a 3/8” masonry bit. This would ensure that the asphalt won't get fractured during the process.
Place the parking block in the original position and insert the spike through the pre-drilled hole, until it's snug.

They said because our asphalt was new, probably could pound in the stakes without drill guide hole. The asphalt was not that soft turns out. Way too much work to try to pound them in without drilling a guide hole. Finally got smart and did so, that was the way to go, only had to rent a drill hammer, well worth it, made the job super quick.

I was kind of hoping against hope they'd be heavy enough not to get pushed around until we could install them, but the cars could indeed move them. The install took us some time, as we didn't have an impact/masonry drill and had to take several cracks at it with a regular heavy duty drill, but we made it happen. They now protect our vehicles from the broken/high curbs that were damaging the front end of our vehicles, and they look great. Appears they will hold up well, too.
