Creates a 39" Tall x 34" Wide White Accessibility Symbol on a Blue Square Background

Create a bold, professional accessible parking-space marking with this easy-to-use, two-part handicap parking stencil kit. Designed for parking-lot contractors, property managers and maintenance crews, the kit helps produce a highly visible white International Symbol of Accessibility centered on a 48" x 48" blue background.

The first stencil consists of interlocking cardboard sections that quickly form a precise 48-inch square without requiring extensive measuring or layout work. Apply blue pavement paint through the square stencil, allow the paint to dry, and then position the contractor-grade symbol stencil over the blue field. Apply white pavement paint to create a crisp 39" tall x 34" wide wheelchair accessibility symbol.

The reusable symbol stencil is manufactured from durable 1/8" contractor-grade LLDPE plastic and features clean-cut edges and a 3-inch stroke width for sharp, recognizable markings. The existing standalone stencil uses a 45" x 40" sheet to produce the finished 39" x 34" symbol.

Step 1: Assemble the interlocking cardboard stencil and paint a 48" x 48" blue square.

The 48-inch blue field and oversized white accessibility symbol are designed around dimensions commonly used by many state and local authorities. However, the federal ADA Standards do not establish a specific pavement-marking color or symbol size, and the current MUTCD treats the blue background as optional at the federal level. State and local requirements can therefore differ, so customers should verify the applicable specifications before painting.
