Parking Block Install Guide (Rubber or Plastic)
Install with Steel Spikes (for asphalt and gravel only)
You Will Need:
- High-speed hammer drill with a 7/16" masonry bit
- Small sledge hammer
- Steel spikes (18" for gravel or older asphalt)
- Activated epoxy resin (recomended)
- 1) Position the parking block where you want to install it. Using the holes molded in the parking block as templates, mark the location of each hole on the asphalt surface and remove the parking block.
- 2) Drill each marking through pavement to create space for steel spikes. Clean and dry area. Reposition parking block so pre-sunk bolt holes align with drilled pavement holes.
- 3) Hammer a spike through the center bolt hole into drilled hole until snug against counterbore hole. Repeat for each bolt hole. Butter spikes with epoxy to help protect older asphalt from cracking.
Warning: DO NOT DRIVE PAST SNUG! Excessive tightening can damage the product and void the warranty
Install with Lag Bolts & Anchors (for asphalt and concrete only)
You Will Need:
- High-speed hammer drill with a 3/4" masonry bit
- Impact wrench or heavy ratchet with 3/4″ socket
- Lag bolts, anchors, and washers (included)
- Small sledge hammer
- 1) Position the parking block where you want to install it. Using the holes molded in the parking block as templates, mark the location of each hole on the concrete surface. Remove the parking block
- 2) Drill Using a high-speed hammer drill with a 3/4″ masonry bit, drill a 4″ to 4 1/2″ deep hole in the concrete at each marked location.
- 3) Insert a lag anchor (with the large round hole in the anchor facing up) into each hole. Tap the anchor into the holes with a hammer so that the top of each anchor is flush with the surface
- 4) Re-position the parking block so that the molded-in holes line up vertically with the pilot holes you drilled. Beginning with the center hole, apply firm hand pressure.
- 5) Slip a washer onto a lag bolt, insert the bolt through the hole in the parking block and tighten the bolt about three quarters of the way with a 3/4″ socket. Repeat for each hole in the parking block. Finish tightening each bolt until just snug.
Warning: DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN! Excessive tightening can damage the product and void the warranty
Install with Wedge Bolts (for concrete only)
You Will Need:
- High-speed hammer drill with a 7/16" masonry bit
- Impact wrench or heavy ratchet with 3/4″ socket
- Wedge bolts (included)
- 1) Position the parking block where you want to install it. Using the holes molded in the parking block as templates, mark the location of each hole on the concrete surface.
- 2) Remove the parking block. Using a drill with 7/16” masonry bit, drill approximately 1.75” deep hole in the concrete at each marked location.
- 3) Re-position the parking block so that the molded in holes line up vertically with the pilot holes you drilled. Insert the wedge bolts through the holes in the parking block and tighten the bolts with a 3/4″ socket. Finish tightening each bolt until just snug.
Warning: DO NOT DRIVE PAST SNUG! Excessive tightening can damage the product and void the warranty
