Frequently asked questions about cone stenciling:
- What do you use to print on the cone? Is it paint or ink?
We use an organic dye that we roll on and it stains the outside of the cone. While it may fade over time and exposure to the elements (we're talking months of continuous use), the surface of the cone is permanently marked.
- What can you put on the cone?
Our equipment allows us to cut virtually any letters or words. While we can cut stencils vertically or horizontally, most customers want the letters to run vertically on the cone (Vertical alignment means if you can see the letters, you can read the whole thing. Horizontal words or initials may wrap around the cone and can't all be seen at the same time.)
- How big can you make the letters?
The only limitation is the size of cone. If we try to put too many letters on a cone, we have to make the letters so small that they either smear when the stain is applied, or they can't be read on the cone. Our suggestion is to call, tell us what you would like on the cone or tube, and we will try our best to accommodate that. If we can't we will tell you what we can do.
